Mekuti Double-Ended Leads

The Mekuti Double-Ended Lead is made from a Softex type padded material which is comfortable to hold in the hand and is easier to maintain grip should the lead become wet or used with a glove when it is cold.

The 'Standard' lead is designed specifically for each harness size, so may have different sized triggerhooks (clips) on each end, be a different leangth or have a different width. The lead that comes with the Mini size harness is not made from the Softex type material but instead is made using the light webbing material with small triggerhooks on both ends.

As with the Mekuti Balance Harness, our double-ended leads are designed to be as lightweight as practical but strong and robust enough should a more restraining need arise. This also means that if the dog continues to pull or strain on the lead during training, signs of wear may become visible.

So, it is important that the lead is inspected regularly, washed regularly and maintained in good condition, perhaps with extra protection being applied to the metal fixings, rings and trigger hooks, especially if the lead becomes wet, muddy or is used close by the sea.
